Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Assistant to join our team at Mathiesons Bakery Ltd.
The Commercial Assistant reports to the Head of Commercial and plays a leading part in supporting all areas within the commercial department to help deliver the annual financial objectives of the company.
Responsibilities
Supporting Commercial Accounts
- Jointly responsible for the overall achievement of the company sales budget and supports the Head of Commercial in all required duties. Can confidently respond to customer issues and be the main contact when the Head of Commercial is not available.
Developing Existing Business
- Help support the growth of the existing customers and help deliver customer accounts plans that align to the overall Commercial Strategy. Understands the contribution and the effect of these accounts to the business.
Supply Chain
- Work closely with customer Supply Chain's and production to ensure that orders, stock levels and supply is monitored to minimize shortages and maximize sales. Is the lead contact with customer supply chain teams and can challenge the customer if required on forecasts, orders and availability.
Order Processing -
Process all customer orders . Track and maintain the off-site storage information and monitor life of products, ensuring any issues are highlighted.
Building Relationships
- Proactively build sustainable relationships with key customer contacts. Network effectively with existing and new customers to achieve company objectives.
Data Champion
- Support the business and is accountable for all required sales data reports, analysis, sales reporting, forecasting and activity overview.
Brand Ambassador
- Identify and participate in trade shows, sampling, networking events and exhibitions where appropriate. Be the first point of contact for any PR relating activity and feedback the outcome to the business.
Store Expert
- Regular store visits across the UK in line with company objectives.
Team Player
- Work and communicate effectively with all internal departments to ensure everyone works cohesively to achieve company objectives. Contribute on behalf of the commercial department and ensures all information is available for every department.
This role does involve travel therefore a full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. Mileage expenses will be paid.
