Role Overview



We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Commercial Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be a vital link in our supply chain, providing strong support to the commercial function. You will ensure the smooth flow of information between suppliers, logistics, production, and our sales team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting purchasing activities and managing processes to ensure we have the right materials at the right time. Ultimately, you'll be an important part of a small central team that is key to our future success, contributing to the overall efficiency and growth of the business.

Reporting to the Raw Material Manager your day to day tasks will include:-



Raw Material Management: You will be responsible for raw material contract management, including liaising with customers and suppliers. You will also monitor stock levels and work with production teams at each site to ensure a consistent supply of materials. Administrative and Commercial Support: You will provide administrative assistance to the commercial team and other departments as required. This role requires excellent communication and coordination skills to ensure clear liaison between suppliers, transport, nutritionists, and mill operations. Pricing and Sales Support: You will price feed for both our sales teams and direct customers. This requires strong analytical and numerical skills to interpret pricing data and supplier quotes.

Attention to detail and accuracy, demonstrated through management of contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules. Organisational skills with the ability to assess urgency and importance, ensuring high-priority tasks are addressed promptly. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with confidence in interpreting pricing data, supplier quotes, and stock positions. Excellent communication and coordination skills, ensuring clear liaison between various departments and external partners. A "go-getter" mentality, demonstrating a proactive and ambitious approach to tasks and projects, with a strong drive to exceed expectations and take initiative. Good working IT knowledge, capable of using Microsoft Office and learning bespoke IT systems. Desirable - Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of commodity markets, cost drivers, and margins.
