An exciting opportunity to work in the Commercial Department of Howard Tenens Ltd, an independently owned third part logistics company. The Commercial Executive provides a professional foundation for the Commercial department as we support our customers and partners.
Responsible for various key tasks such as commercial analysis and database upkeep, support for client projects and business efficiency planning.
There will be an element of working with key customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and that all commitments and deadlines are met.
Provision of commercial support to all divisions and supporting the Commercial Manager on all major projects as well as providing ad hoc support to other divisions of the Group.
What will you do?
New and Existing Business Support
Receiving new enquiries and providing relevant information to the Development team
Creation of operating agreements, proposals and other contractual documentation
Facilitation of cost model creation for our existing customers
Providing analysis to understand profitability of key customers within the group
Ownership of existing customer CRM data and upkeep
Key support member for the annual rate review process
Account Management support with regards to ongoing / future commercial discussions.
Customer Services/relationships management and improvement
Creation and management of our contract management plans for relevant customers
Supporting new customer handover and onboarding
Actively involved in monthly and quarterly customer meetings
General
Overseeing the Commercial reports which are distributed across the business
Responsible for process control and engaging with other departments ensuring Commercial team is well connected
Support key stakeholders in delivering the Commercial Strategy
General support to the Commercial Team and senior team
Undertake personal development and training
Supporting the existing team's development and training
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Excellent self-motivation and self-discipline
Strong analytical skills
Experienced in Microsoft applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel
Working as a team player with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
The ability to co-ordinate and prioritise a variety of tasks simultaneously
Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, staff, management and suppliers.
Flexibility - adapt and cope with the unexpected, remaining a solution driven member of the team
Travel - the role will require travel between our UK sites with the potential for an operational secondment as part of a career progression plan
Excellent computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn to use new systems
Ability to compose concise and impactful communication via emails, presentations and in meetings
A-Level or equivalent qualifications
Degree level education would be an advantage
Experience within the Logistics sector would be an advantage
UK Driving license
