Bhav Kotecha is recruiting for qualified accountant to be a Commercial Finance Analyst, joining a small forward looking Finance team on a permanent basis in Milton Keynes with 2 days min in the office. Currently Hybrid until Nov with brand new office near MKC Station.

Paying 55-60k plus 10% Pension and 27 days Annual Leave on an Hybrid basis.

This individual needs to be curious, challenge the status quo and possess genuine drive and passion for your work and can hit the ground running.

You will have the willingness to learn new systems quickly and ideally have been involved with new finance systems being implemented.

You will have an enquiring mind and seek to improve business process and challenge when necessary

Location - Milton Keynes (minimum of two days a week in the office. You can do more than two days if preferable)

You will be a qualified accountant working with key members of the Bid Team, Operations team, and other departments within the business to help drive the company forward.

This is a newly created role within a great finance team and this role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with others, is analytical, proactive, technically strong, and enjoys working in a rapidly changing environment.

About the role

  • Business partnering with the Bid team and other Senior colleagues to support new business proposals, including bid reviews prior to client submission, advising on funding rules and pricing proposals, and providing financial information for external review.
  • Supporting pricing and rate card calculations, providing costing and pricing proposals to support new project opportunities and ensuring these are reflected in bid models, project finance reporting and key budget inputs.
  • Supporting the production of monthly reporting to senior leaders, including enhancements to align to company strategy and key performance indicators.
  • Supporting the annual Budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, which includes assessment of key performance indicators, based on business performance.
  • Supporting the Digital Innovation Team with the development of Microsoft Dynamics for bid process, including end-to end testing, provision of pricing data and bid model implementation.
  • Enhancement of bid models, applying timely updates for pricing changes whilst ensuring accuracy is maintained.
  • Supporting the production of other ad-hoc financial reporting, including monthly finance packs for Senior Leadership teams.
  • Providing insightful reporting and analysis to help support colleagues in decision making
Requirements

Essential skills required
  • Fully qualified Chartered Account (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Advanced Excel skills
  • A thorough understanding of the management of data sets, with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent numerical and verbal reasoning skills
  • Ability to interpret and explain complicated data to non-financial colleagues.
Desirable skills
  • Experience of supporting bid process
  • Experience of Finance Business Partnering
  • Ability to run reports within Power BI
  • Knowledge of grant funded activities, ideally Innovate UK
  • Experience of financial and economic modelling
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics
  • Previous experience of working in or with a professional services organisation
