We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across various settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Pay 55k-65k salary dependent on experience

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, and repair gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation of gas appliances and pipelines Diagnose faults using specialised tools and techniques, then implement effective solutions Perform welding and assembly tasks as required for system repairs or modifications Utilise hand tools, power tools, and carpentry skills to modify or construct components of gas systems Carry out plumbing work related to gas installations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations Manage heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large equipment or materials Adhere strictly to health and safety standards during all operations to minimise risks Maintain detailed records of work carried out for compliance and future reference

Requirements

Full UK driving license Proven experience in commercial gas engineering Valid MAT1 qualifcation Valid CE1 qualification To be gas safe registered

Skills

Proven experience with plumbing assembly work within a mechanical or gas engineering context Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Strong mechanical knowledge related to gas systems and general infrastructure Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and technical documentation Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for site travel or equipment transportation Good organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on safety and efficiency
