The Opportunity



We're looking for an experienced and highly skilled

Commercial Gas Engineer

to join our growing team in the Perth area. You'll be responsible for providing planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and installation of commercial gas and heating systems across a diverse portfolio of client sites, including offices, schools, industrial units, and more.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on a wide range of commercial gas appliances and plant room equipment, including boilers, burners, and heating systems. Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic work efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for clients. Complete minor installation works and system upgrades as required. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, adhering strictly to Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations, relevant building codes, and company health and safety policies. Complete and maintain accurate electronic or paper records for all work performed, including gas safety certificates. Participate in a rotational on-call rota (with standby payments) for emergency out-of-hours cover. Maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Skills & Qualifications



Current Commercial ACS Gas qualifications are essential (e.g., COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1, TPCP1/TPCP1A). Must be a current and valid Gas Safe Registered Engineer. Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer in a mobile/field-based role. Full UK Driving Licence. Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Desirable Experience



Qualifications and proven experience working with LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) systems and appliances. Qualifications and proven experience working with Oil-Fired commercial heating systems. Experience with building services, including HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical plant an advantage.
