The Commercial Manager at Leondis Education Group is responsible for leading the financial and commercial strategy to support the organisation's transition from a single-site nursery into a multi-branch group. The role requires securing external investment and financing, preparing investment proposals, negotiating funding structures, and ensuring transparent financial operations. The Commercial Manager will design and implement commercial strategies, develop sustainable revenue models, and establish reporting frameworks to monitor performance across multiple branches.
The Commercial Manager will also build and maintain relationships with investors and financial institutions, representing the organisation in commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships. This position plays a pivotal role in laying the financial and commercial foundations for the organisation's expansion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead initiatives to secure external investment and financing to support the opening of new branches.
Prepare professional investment proposals and commercial cases for potential investors and funding partners.
Negotiate funding structures and ensure appropriate allocation of resources.
Ensure transparency in financial operations to build trust with investors.
Design and implement commercial strategies to support the nursery's transition into a group.
Advise on revenue models, financial sustainability, and profitability improvement.
Develop group-level reporting frameworks for monitoring performance across multiple branches.
Develop policies for responsible and compliant use of funds in education services.
Act as a key advisor on business and financial decisions relating to expansion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, financial institutions, and key external stakeholders.
Communicate commercial plans and progress clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
Represent the company in commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships
Qualifications/Skills:
Essential
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, or Management.
At least 5 years' senior experience in finance, banking, leasing, or commercial management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with ability to build investor confidence.
Proven experience in raising external funds, investment negotiations or financial modelling.
Desirable
Background in international finance or cross-border representation (e.g., overseas representative roles, international investor engagement).
International expansion experience, experience with cross-border legal/finance, built from scratch frameworks for multi-branch or multi-region.
Experience supporting the internationalisation of a brand, including expansion into multiple regions.
Familiarity with education sector expansion projects or funding models for service industries.
