Commercial Property Lawyer

Job Description

Would you like to be part of a business that is committed to evolving a positive culture? A culture where we work hard to keep to our promise of being a 'deeply human' organisation, through consistently implementing our 4Ps model:

Purpose:

When team members understand where they're going and what they are aspiring to achieve, they feel a sense of belonging. Todays Dental leaders link individual responsibilities and goals to Practice goals, to instill a greater sense of purpose.

People:

Todays Dental leaders take a genuine interest in helping people to release their potential through consistent support and encouragement. We believe in empowerment and autonomy; relationships and deliverables over hierarchy

.

Patients:

Todays Dental leaders ask the question, "is what I am about to do/ask for adding value to our business/Practice, enabling us to focus upon patients?" Leaders pay attention to standards and patient experience within our Practices, encouraging teams and individuals to do the same.

Profit:

Profit is the feedback loop which informs us as to whether the other 3Ps are being implemented effectively. Leaders understand their business and use the information available to constantly improve. Leaders and teams understand how goals and KPIs relate to business activity and achieving purpose/vision.
We are delighted to be recruiting our first Commercial Property Lawyer into our busy legal team. This exciting new role will report directly into the Legal Director and be responsible for all commercial legal property work across the group with a particular focus on acquisition support. This is a great opportunity to gain varied experience within a fast-growing, people-focused business.

This role is being offered as either fully remote (with attendance twice a month at our Resource Hub in Taunton for keeping in touch days with the wider team) or a hybrid working contract if you are within a commutable distance of Taunton. We are happy to be flexible for the right person.

Taking the lead on a wide range of commercial property matters including lease management, rent reviews and planning. Proactively managing and reporting on legal property risks within the business advising relevant stakeholders in line with objectives whilst ensuring compliance with current legislation. Maintaining and updating the group lease schedule ensuring lease events are notified and managed effectively. Creating and updating commercial property group precedents. Providing advice on disputes with landlords and devising strategies for overcoming them. Liaising with external parties such as law firms, our investors, our landlords and insurers.

What we're looking for from you

Demonstrated experience in supporting acquisitions, negotiating leases and lease management generally. Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously but collaboratively within a supportive team. A pragmatic and commercial approach. Used to working effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Able to balance conflicting priorities. Accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail. Appetite for taking responsibility and seeing things through to completion.

Your Qualifications & Experience
