Clearsol is a rapidly growing specialist Operations & Maintenance provider for commercial and industrial Solar PV systems. We are looking for an experienced and diligent

O&M Engineer

who can assist our Electrical manager and develop the team as the business grows. This role would suit an ambitious individual who is excited by the opportunity of growing with a new business and embracing the opportunities that it offers.

The role will be fully on site, conducting maintenance inspections and remedial work to solar PV systems- both roof top and ground mount. The role will include significant travel and staying away from home and will be a mix of lone working and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out inspections, fault diagnosis, and maintenance on single-phase and three-phase commercial rooftop solar PV systems. Undertake system installations, component replacements, and performance upgrades. Manage contractors for larger remedial works Communicate effectively with clients on-site, provide progress updates, report defects, and ensure customer satisfaction. Complete accurate work logs, inspection records, and remedial action reports. Operate across sites nationwide with occasional overnight stays as required.
Requirements:

Relevant electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Desirable: AM2/ 2391/2394/2395 Proven experience in commercial sector solar PV maintenance and electrical work. A strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures, including Permit to Work and safe systems of work. Full UK driving licence. Must be comfortable working at height, using MEWPs and mansafe systems (Mansafe/IPAF training can be arranged) Must be willing to travel
Desirable / relevant but not essential

Knowledge of MCS rules

First Aid at Work

Experience with data networks (RS485/MODBUS)

IPAF Licence

Experience working with HV systems
