Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive electrician to support our commercial and residential solar projects. This is a divers role covering installations, maintenance, technical support and warranty management across a wide portfolio of solar assets. You will have access to one of our road vans so a full UK driving license will be required.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and Maintenance
: keeping an eye on our live installations (Solis, Tesla, Givenergy, Solaredge, FoxESS and more). Proactively track alarms or performance drops and coordinate any necessary rectification under warranty
Fault finding and rectification
: Visit sites to troubleshoot and resolve issues such as internet connectivity, DC isolation faults, inverter and battery faults and carry out warranty replacements.
PV health checks
: Conduct health checks on systems ranging from domestic installs to large commercial installations
AC Certification
: Sign off electrical certificates for subcontracted electricians
Technical support
: Act as in-house technical expert, assisting office staff and customers remotely when issues can be resolved without a site visit
Compliance and auditing
: Act as nominated technical person for MCS/NAPIT site audits
Customer & Manufacturer liaison
: Manage technical email correspondence, warranty claims, returns and provide support for resolving customer issues quickly and professionally
Occasional installations
: support or lead complete PV and battery installations when needed
Requirements
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (required for MCS certification and signing off under NAPIT)
ECS Card for working on construction sites
Full UK drivers license
Highly advantageous:
2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing
BPEC Solar PV qualification (or equivalent) to support MCS registration

Tesla Powerwall certification
