The Commercial Strategy & Planning teams plays a pivotal role in driving our strategic power plays by shaping, orchestrating, and driving the commercial strategy that underpins our growth ambitions. It is cross-functional, fast-paced and we work on GBT's most challenging strategic projects delivering for senior stakeholders.
This role focuses on the 'Go Big on SME' and 'Champion Customer Obsession' powerplays, where you will gain exposure to a wide range of functions, driving strategic initiatives that have real bottom-line impact.
What You'll Do on a Typical Day
Lead and coordinate strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery against milestones, KPIs, and business outcomes while maintaining a strong change management and communication rhythm.
Partner closely with stakeholders across Strategy, Finance, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to align on priorities, track execution, and ensure coherence across all commercial initiatives
Support build and operationalisation of initiatives that deliver competitive advantage across targeted customer segments
Embed customer insights and feedback loops into strategy formulation to ensure our offerings and experiences are deeply aligned with customer needs and evolving expectations.
Help redefine the commercial operating model (people, process, and technology) to support our ambition of software and services leadership - ensuring alignment of roles, workflows, and systems to drive scalable growth.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in commercial strategy, business planning, or go-to-market roles, ideally within B2B, consultancy or software & services organizations
Consistent track record of crafting and accomplishing commercial growth strategies that deliver measurable business impact
Strong understanding of SME markets, segmentation, and value drivers, with the ability to translate insights into actionable go-to-market plays
Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional transformation initiatives involving people, process, and technology change
Highly analytical, structured thinker with strong problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to drive alignment and action across diverse teams
Experience in deploying or optimizing commercial governance frameworks, operating models, and performance dashboards is an advantage
Familiarity with AI, automation, or digital enablement tools for sales and marketing transformation preferred
Proficient in PowerPoints to align stakeholders and drive key decisions at speed
