Commercial Support Administrator - Construction / Flooring Industry

25,000 - 30,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
Hours:
Part-time - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:30am to 3:30pm (with potential to extend to 4:00pm or 4:30pm) plus holiday cover as required

We are looking for a proactive and experienced
Commercial Support Administrator
to join our busy office-based team in Stourbridge. This is a key support role, working closely with our Contracts Manager to ensure projects run efficiently and that customer care matters are handled professionally and promptly.
The Role
This is a varied and fast-paced position ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and thrives on detail. The role is
equally split between managing customer care issues and reviewing plans and quantities
, and this combined element will account for around
70% of the total role
. The remaining
30%
covers broader office support duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
Customer Care Coordination
Handling flooring-related customer care issues for national housebuilders
Logging defects, arranging remedial works with our fitters, and liaising with client-side customer care teams and homeowners
Submitting written reports and keeping accurate records
Plan Take-offs & Quantities
Reviewing architectural plans and site layouts
Producing accurate flooring take-offs and quantities to support estimating and tenders
Assisting with value engineering and pricing matrices
General Commercial Office Support
Providing telephone cover for fitters, clients, and suppliers
Updating and preparing tender overviews and internal reports
Supporting other tasks as required in a busy and professional commercial flooring office
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with:
Previous experience in the
construction, housebuilding, or flooring
industry
Confidence working with architectural drawings and measurements
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Proficiency with
Google Workspace tools
(Gmail, Google Sheets, Docs, Calendar etc.) and
Microsoft Excel
A calm, clear telephone manner and professional approach
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Customer service or estimating experience will be a distinct advantage.
