Representing both individuals and organisations, this role involves advising clients on legal options, negotiating settlements, and, where necessary, progressing matters to court.

The Role
Drafting legal documents and court documents for medium to high-value and complex claims within the County Court and High Court regimes. These will include documents such as letters before action, pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements.
Interacting with clients providing the opportunity to build strong client relationships and develop communication skills.
Conducting thorough legal research to support case strategy and client advice.
Managing cases from initial instruction through to conclusion, including compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions on behalf of clients
Attending court hearings, case management conferences, and trials, representing clients or instructing counsel as appropriate.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and case progress using the firm's case management system.
Liaising with clients, courts, experts and other solicitors in a professional and timely manner.
Opportunities for acting for claimants in areas covering professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud and misfeasance claims, partnership disputes and TLATA disputes.
Ensuring all activities comply with the SRA Code of Conduct and other regulatory requirements.
This role involves assisting partners in developing further work independently and supporting other key team members.
You will be required to participate in business development and other marketing initiatives in line with the agreed-upon business plan.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy in all documentation
Strong organisational and time management skills, with he ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Ability to maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate sound professional judgement.
Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills, showing empathy to clients, gaining trust and respect.
Keen business development and networking skills.
Familiarity with case management systems, Word documents, and Excel
Understanding of SRA rules, code of conduct, and compliance obligations.
Experience working under Lexcel or equivalent quality standards

Qualifications
Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales.
2-4 years of experience in a similar role at a reputable firm.
Experience in civil litigation working with high-profile, complex cases.
Familiarity with relevant civil procedure rules and case law.
Experience with case management software is desirable.
