We are now seeking a talented
Litigation Solicitor
to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have solid litigation experience, excellent client care skills, and the ability to manage cases from initial instruction through to final resolution.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, property disputes, debt recovery, and professional negligence claims. You will represent clients in correspondence, negotiations, and court proceedings while maintaining compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Handle a diverse caseload of
civil and commercial litigation matters
, including:
Breach of contract and debt recovery claims
Property and landlord/tenant disputes
Professional negligence
Company and partnership disputes
Employment and defamation-related civil claims (where required)
Draft pleadings, witness statements, applications, and other court documents.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
Provide strategic and practical legal advice tailored to client needs.
Manage client relationships professionally and maintain high levels of communication.
Supervise junior fee earners or paralegals when required.
Ensure compliance with firm policies,
Lexcel
, and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
Qualified
Solicitor
with a minimum of
2 years PQE
in Civil/Commercial Litigation.
Sound knowledge of the
Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
and litigation processes.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
Experience with case management systems (such as
LEAP
) preferred.
