We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry. Duties
Assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards
Support senior chefs in food production and kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Participate in menu planning and development, providing input based on culinary trends
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Uphold excellent standards of hospitality while interacting with colleagues and other staff members
Requirements
Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Strong cooking skills with an emphasis on food preparation techniques
Experience in supervising or managing a small team is advantageous
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating leadership qualities
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
