An exciting opportunity to be part of the fabulous Cabana family! Our stunning

restaurant is in need of an Commis Chef.

Cabana is the home of the mighty flame-grilled Spicy Malagueta Chicken! Our restaurants are Latin American inspired known for fabulous grills and cocktails delivered in a vibrant, buzzing atmosphere!

We are ideally looking for an

Commis Chef

who:

Deliver our core focus; To lift people's spirits & create memorable experiences

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs

Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace

Support with stock management and stock control

Participate in daily kitchen operations, including prep work, cooking, and plating

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods

Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages or issues promptly

Assist in the receiving and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness

Take responsibility for specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality

Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance needs.

Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of presentation and taste

Assist in maintaining accurate records of kitchen operations, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules.

Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations at all times

Are available full time and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays

Have a good personality and a positive and enthusiastic attitude

Is consistent and reliable and an excellent team player
