The Beach and Barnicott is a very well known and popular business in the heart of Bridport. We are looking at reopening soon after a full building refurbishment.

Offering breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as a fully functional bar we use the finest local produce and suppliers to offer a truly relaxing dining experience.

We are very lucky to have a very friendly and creative kitchen team in place that are keen on mentoring and developing younger team members in the kitchen and what better place to do that then in a brand new kitchen.

Responsibilities



Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Participate in the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment. Support the team in managing inventory and ingredient sourcing as needed. Contribute to a positive and productive kitchen environment through teamwork.

Qualifications



Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene Background in hospitality and customer service Familiarity with food production processes and restaurant operations Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards

As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Pay: Up to 13.00 per hour
