We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the chefs and ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and production. Duties
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods.
Support food production by measuring, mixing, and preparing ingredients as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes to guests.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to senior staff.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is key.
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
