Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards Support team management by collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional service Participate in the daily operations of food production, including portioning, plating, and serving dishes Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in quality Help supervise junior kitchen staff and provide guidance when necessary Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste Uphold high standards of hospitality by contributing to a positive dining experience for guests

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, preferably within a restaurant setting Demonstrated culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration within the kitchen team A passion for food production and an eagerness to learn from experienced chefs

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
