Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations, ensuring that food preparation and production meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their culinary skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Support the team in food production tasks, including chopping, marinating, and plating. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow. Participate in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies. Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout all kitchen operations. Engage in continuous learning about culinary techniques and menu items.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or hospitality setting is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for cooking and a desire to develop culinary expertise.
