We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in the food production process, assisting in the preparation and cooking of dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties
Assist chefs in food preparation and cooking tasks to ensure timely service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
Support the team in managing inventory and stock levels, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for dishes.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
Follow instructions from senior chefs and assist in training new kitchen staff when required.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure dishes are prepared to perfection.
Engage with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred.
Good understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
Experience in food production and preparation techniques.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating strong team management skills.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn from experienced chefs.
