Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes under the supervision of senior chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Follow recipes and presentation specifications to deliver consistent quality. Support the team in managing food production schedules and inventory control. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Skills

Previous kitchen experience, preferably within a restaurant setting, is essential. Culinary experience with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Team management skills with the ability to supervise junior staff effectively. Strong leadership qualities, demonstrating the ability to motivate and inspire others in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. Cooking skills with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour profiles.
