HMSHost UK, part of the Avolta group are hiring at Manchester Airport for Commis Chefs to join us. 12.40 per hour plus Tronc (credit card tips)

What is the role?

Commis Chef! You are a passionate and driven Chef who is looking to work within a busy restaurant, develop their skills and grow within HMSHost, Avolta! You love food and love to make others happy through excellent dishes. The role will be in our busy Italian restaurant, Trattoria Milano, offering swift service, pizza, pasta and breakfast!

Main duties will include:

Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Italian dishes. Support chefs in maintaining high culinary standards. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen. Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Follow recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency in food quality. Stock rotation and ingredient preparation to support smooth kitchen operations.

What We're Looking For:

A passion for Italian cuisine and cooking. Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills. Ability to work as part of a team in a high-energy environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety. Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Due to airport flight schedules, our shift times vary. Our morning shifts can start as early as 3am and our late shifts can finish up to 11pm so you must ensure you are flexible to work one of these shift patterns.
