Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including chopping, marinating, and plating dishes. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Contribute ideas for menu development and improvement of existing dishes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable, with a focus on food production and preparation. Supervising experience or team management skills are an advantage. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service to guests. Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
