Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Support senior chefs in food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes. Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods. Follow instructions from supervisors while demonstrating a willingness to learn new techniques and skills. Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout all food preparation areas.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on food production and preparation. Supervising experience or team management skills are advantageous for this role. A strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Culinary experience or formal training in hospitality is desirable. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for cooking and a keen interest in developing culinary skills further.
