Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our expanding kitchen team. As our kitchen continues to grow, we need an extra pair of hands to support the workload and maintain our high standards.

You will work closely alongside our Head Chef, assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the smooth running of service. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as shifts may vary to meet the needs of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes as directed by senior chef Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Support the cooking team during service by preparing garnishes, sauces, and other components. Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items correctly Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and cooking. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and organised. Follow food safety and health & safety guidelines at all times. Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Be flexible with shifts to meet the needs of the expanding kitchen. Work effectively as part of the team, communicating with chefs and front of house staff. Show willingness to learn and develop new skills under the guidance of the Head Chef.
