Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the supervision of senior kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards. Support the team in food production tasks, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours. Participate in inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and high-quality food presentation. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines as directed by senior chefs. Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating leadership qualities and effective communication skills.

Skills

Supervising experience is advantageous for guiding junior kitchen staff. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Proven ability to manage teams effectively within a culinary setting. Culinary experience with a passion for cooking and hospitality. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to ensure compliance in the kitchen. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, showcasing an understanding of kitchen dynamics. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
