We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Support senior chefs in food production and kitchen management tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Participate in the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to senior staff. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality while interacting with colleagues and other staff members.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred. A strong understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise junior staff effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Excellent team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and communication. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn from experienced chefs in a professional kitchen environment.
