to join our kitchen team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone eager to learn the ropes in a busy kitchen, supporting chefs with food prep while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
You'll play a key part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly -- from assisting with prep work to ensuring equipment, crockery, and work areas are spotless.
Key Responsibilities
Assist chefs with basic food preparation (chopping, portioning, plating, etc.)
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly
Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy, and organised in line with hygiene standards
Help with deliveries -- checking, storing, and rotating stock
Dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling systems
Support chefs during busy service periods
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment
Requirements
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential -- full training provided
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
Good communication skills and attention to detail
A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays
