We're a well-regarded pub/restaurant known for excellent food and service, looking for a skilled chef to join our kitchen team. You'll prepare high-quality dishes, maintain food safety standards, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues Attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and customer preferences
