We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. Duties
Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all workstations are tidy and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Support the team in food production, including chopping, marinating, and plating dishes.
Collaborate with chefs to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Help manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues.
Experience
Previous kitchen experience is essential, ideally within a restaurant setting.
A background in food production or culinary arts is highly advantageous.
Supervising experience or team management skills will be considered a plus.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required.
