Overview:
Here at the the Tollemache Arms we are seeking a skilled Commis or Chef de Partie to join our team in a bustling restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a desire to contribute to a dynamic kitchen team. This role is due to start November 2025 after we have undergone a major refurbishment including a brand new custom built kitchen. This is the perfect position for someone looking to advance there career, give themself a new challenge and work with great progression options.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and production under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
- Support the team in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Help with stock rotation and storage to minimise wastage.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver efficient service during peak times.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to carry out tasks effectively.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food handling procedures.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong teamwork skills with the capacity to assist and support colleagues.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and equipment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively within the kitchen team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
