Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, demonstrating expertise in food preparation and production within a fast-paced pub environment. As a Cook/Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. We are a pub serving home-cooked pub food. Must work Monday & Tuesday

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff during service, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Collaborate with the Chef/Landlord to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu changes, service improvements, and operational efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a Cook/Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality. Strong communication skills, fostering a positive team environment within the kitchen.

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
