As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours. Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Experience
Previous experience in a culinary role or food preparation within a restaurant setting is preferred.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
