We're looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working

Commis Chef or Chef de partie

to join our kitchen team in our new pub opening in a neighboring village of Shipston on Stour. This is an ideal role for either someone looking to start or develop their culinary career in a supportive kitchen where learning and growth are encouraged or an expereinced chef de partie looking to get stuck in with an exciting new kitchen team You'll work under the guidance of senior chefs to gain hands-on experience across all sections of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation, cooking, and plating across various kitchen sections. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety at all times. Prepare ingredients as directed by senior chefs and support during busy service periods. Learn and follow recipes, presentation standards, and kitchen protocols. Keep your workstation clean, organized, and properly stocked. Help with stock rotation and food storage following food safety guidelines. Take direction well and show a willingness to learn and improve your skills. Communicate clearly and work as part of a close-knit team.

Requirements

A passion for food and a desire to build a career in a professional kitchen. Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is beneficial but not essential. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices (training can be provided). Hardworking, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, team player, and keen to learn from senior chefs. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
