Duties
Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements the restaurant's menu.
Provide expert recommendations to guests regarding wine pairings with their meals.
Conduct tastings and educate staff on wine selections, enhancing their knowledge and service skills.
Ensure proper storage and handling of wines to maintain quality and safety standards.
Assist in catering events, ensuring that wine selections align with menu offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the wine cellar and service areas.
Stay updated on industry trends, new wines, and food safety regulations.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
A background in catering or food preparation is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices is required.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service are crucial.
