Job Title: Communications Manager

Reporting to: Senior Communications Manager

Direct Reports: 1

Hours: Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Job Purpose:

To help with overseeing strategy and content for both internal and external communications while ensuring that all messaging is consistent, current and appropriate for the TMHCC brand, vision and values.

This role is in place to support and grow the brand across in the USA, UK and Europe via internal and external communications that are accurate, timely and within brand. The hours are 9 - 5 but may be 10 - 6 on some days to accommodate for USA time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the Senior Communications Manager in defining the internal and external MARCOMS strategy and annual plans for business units and support functions.
  • Manage sign off of the internal and external communications through all channels, including but not limited to: thought leadership pieces, research, digital platforms and e-bulletins.
  • Work directly with leadership and Executive teams to deliver internal and external initiatives, ensuring they are executed and measured successfully.
  • Assist with executing PR strategy.
  • Improve employee engagement through internal communication channels.
  • Work with the global Marketing teams to ensure internal and external communications and social media posts are relevant with coherent and consistent messaging.
  • Ensure all of our office locations are fully supported from a Communications perspective.
  • Review campaign reports and suggest improvements to the business for future campaign success.
  • Manage and support the Communications Assistants.
  • Support the Senior Communications Manager and Global Marketing Lead in delivering communications strategy.
  • Work with the Marketing team to own the wider company communications output including the website and the intranet.
  • Manage Corporate and International LinkedIn/Twitter accounts (including organic and sponsored content campaigns).
  • Achieve campaign goals via social platforms.
  • Management of regular reporting projects, specific but not limited to: Gender Pay Gap, Wellness Initiatives and CSR covering both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee agency relationships related to MARCOMS.
Skills and Experience Specification:
  • Highly articulate individual with excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Related qualification(s)
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Up to date knowledge of Internet and Intranet capability, trends and potential
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
  • Strong time management skills
  • Management experience
  • Good organisation skills
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Educated to at least A level standard (ideally in English) and with at least a GCSE (or equivalent) in English at grade A to B
  • Experience in the field of Communications
Desirable:
  • Educated to degree level standard
  • Existing relationship with Insurance Press
  • 2 - 3 years\' experience in a similar role
  • Insurance background
