We are recruiting a pro-active Communications Administrator to join our friendly, hard-working and flexible team based in the Parish Office in Pembury. This might be the role for you if you can deal with multiple projects, have a strong community focus and great communication skills.
What you'll be doing:
Design, copy write, proofread, and coordinate our popular quarterly newsletter
Create engaging content for our website, social media, newsletters and noticeboards
Help organise and support our community events
Be the first point of contact for residents - by phone, email, in person, or on social media
Support key Council projects and contribute to improving local services
Attend occasional meetings and prepare minutes (training provided)
What we're looking for:
You'll need to be:
A confident communicator - written and verbal
Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
Friendly, helpful, and able to deal with a wide range of people
Comfortable working on your own initiative and as part of a team
Strong IT skills including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), Canva or InDesign and familiar with social media platforms
Experience in digital communications, newsletter production, and websites is desirable
