United Response is looking to recruit an experienced Communications and Engagement Officer to support our busy Communications Team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in internal communications and a passion for engaging and informing colleagues across a large organisation.
Key Purpose of the role of Communications & Engagement Officer:
To support the delivery of marketing and communications in line with our strategy.
United Response is going through significant change, so we're looking for a bright, energetic communications officer to make things happen. About half your time will be focussed on communicating with our 3500 colleagues who are based at 350 locations around the country. This could be sharing news updates, maintaining our intranet or planning multi-channel communications for an initiative such as healthy eating, wellbeing or diversity.
You'll also get involved in our marketing or public affairs work, which makes sure that people outside our organisation understand what we're about and join us in our mission. Your experience managing websites and professional social media channels will really help you here.
Whether it's inside or outside United Response, a story about the difference we've made to someone makes all the difference. So you'll often find yourself speaking to a wide variety of people and helping them tell their story. This means that we'll really need to rely on your creative writing, photography or content editing skills.
The communications and marketing team is a small but effective group of 8 people. You'll report to the Marketing and Communications Manager, alongside another officer.
