The primary purpose of this role is to strengthen the organisation's profile and support business growth through effective communication, marketing, and customer engagement. The postholder will work directly to the Centre Manager, aligning all work with the wider objectives set by the Centre and the Board of Trustees.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Marketing
Develop, deliver, and evaluate communication and marketing campaigns that promote services, activities, and events.
Create high-quality content using templates, Canva, and other design tools for social media, posters, and digital materials.
Capture and edit high-quality photos and short videos for social media clips.
Produce engaging written content for newsletters, social media, website, email campaigns, press releases, and Mailchimp.
Maintain content calendars and deliver communications aligned with organisational priorities.
Manage and update Google Business Profile, Apple Business listing, and other online platforms.
Support upcoming and emerging social media platforms.
Digital & Administrative Competence
Confident use of Office 365 including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and related tools.
Maintain customer and prospect databases in line with GDPR.
Use Canva, Mailchimp, and other tools to produce effective communications.
Support direct marketing activities within agreed budgets and timescales.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Respond professionally to enquiries across email, social media, and in-person interactions.
Support positive relationships with customers, partners, and community organisations.
Promote events, services, and campaigns aligned to Centre objectives and Trustee priorities.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide accurate and consistent information.
Monitoring, Reporting & Insight
Monitor digital engagement, campaign performance, and provide reports to the Centre Manager and Trustees.
Undertake market and competitor research to support improvement and innovation.
General Duties
Provide reception cover for approximately 5 hours per week.
Up to 2 hours per week working from home.
Support operational communication and contribute to the daily running of the Centre.
Attend meetings as required.
Perform other duties to support business needs.
