The Asian Women's Resource Centre (AWRC) is a feminist organization whose values are founded on commitments to human rights, anti-discrimination and freedom from oppression. 28,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time staff)

35 hours per week

Fixed term until March 2026 (with potential for extension)

London office / Hybrid (2 days office-based)



We are seeking a

dynamic and creative Communications and Media Officer

to join our team in a new and exciting role funded by the Esme Fairbairn Foundation. Working in partnership with

Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA)

, you will play a key role in raising AWRC's profile, strengthening our brand, and engaging audiences across digital and traditional media.

What you'll do:



Develop and deliver a communications strategy aligned with AWRC's vision and objectives. Manage and grow our online presence, including website, newsletters, and social media platforms. Lead creative campaigns to engage supporters, influence policy makers, and attract funding. Build strong relationships with media contacts and respond to press enquiries. Create inspiring content that amplifies the voices and experiences of women we support. Support AWRC events, campaigns, and publications, including our Annual Report and key awareness days.

About you:



A strong communicator with excellent writing and digital skills. Experienced in managing websites, social media, and content creation. Able to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Organised, proactive, and able to juggle competing deadlines. Committed to equality, diversity, and AWRC's feminist values. Understanding of issues affecting women experiencing domestic abuse (essential). Ability to speak a community language (desirable).
