About the role

Are you an experienced communicator who wants to make an impact in global health as an IGHI Communications and Events Officer? At the Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI), you will work with a committed and talented team to lead and support on communication and events activities in a range of research areas. The IGHI Communications and Events officer will play a vital role in helping to build IGHI's reputation as a world-leading Institute in global health research, education and policy.


What you would be doing


---------------------------


As Communications and Events Officer, you will create inspiring and engaging communications and events that showcase the Institute's work and our visibility to stakeholders. In this role, you will manage digital and print communications to deliver high quality content to the public, patients, policymakers, healthcare professionals and students. You will manage multiple internal and external channels including websites, social media and newsletters to engage our existing audiences and reach new ones.

o Strong communication skills and a passion for healthcare, with a creative mind, flare for writing and exceptional organisational skills. o You will be experienced in writing across multiple communications mediums, developing impactful content for social media. o You will bring expertise to planning and delivering a range of events. o You will be confident working independently and as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and to ensure the delivery of an excellent product.

Our approach is to identify, develop and implement evidence-based innovations, leading to sustainable improvements in health and care. Our work is made possible through our Centres of Excellence - the Hamlyn Centre for Medical Robotics, Helix Centre for Design in Healthcare, Centre for Health Policy, Climate Cares Centre, NIHR NWL Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC), Centre for African Research and Engagement (ICCARE) and the Fleming Initiative. Our Centres collaborate to share knowledge, skills and expertise so that we can solve bigger problems and accelerate progress in healthcare.
