In this apprenticeship role, you will join an organisation that places communication and public engagement as a key principle of serving the community. You will help with the creation, delivery and measurement of imaginative communications campaigns and public engagement activities that keep our residents, employees and key stakeholders informed, connected, and engaged with Torfaen Council.
You will develop skills and learn about communications planning, behaviour change, social media management, writing press releases, crisis communications and digital communications daily and across a variety of channels to support vital Council services.
You will work in a flexible and creative environment as part of an award-winning Communications Team who ensure Council messages connect with people's everyday lives and encourage conversations between residents and the Council at all levels. What we do, and what you will do, will help people and make lives better every day.
This post is based in a friendly team where you will receive excellent support and on-the-job-training. What's more, you will gain valuable work and life skills to help you launch a career in your chosen field.
