They have offices in London, Billericay, Cambridge, Colchester, Norwich, Oxford, and Nottingham and plan to open further sites in the future to develop our national service.

  • They are currently recruiting a Communications and Digital Marketing Officer to join our Colchester office.
  • The role will involve raising the clients profile, focusing on PR and social and digital channels.
The selected candidate will\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Research, develop and implement new and existing marketing and communications plans, digital platforms and technologies whilst being innovative, forward-thinking, and appropriate to a variety of key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to build brand awareness, ensuring communications are timely and interesting.
  • Develop and implement a PR and a social media strategy.
  • Manage all PR and social channels, assisting with the creation and designing of engaging content; providing analysis on performance; and make recommendations for improvements through media monitoring, research, and testing.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the external website and internal staff intranet ensuring content is accurate, up to date and measuring its effectiveness through Google Analytics. Ensuring compliance with best practice in terms of quality, accessibility, search standard and improving the user experience.
  • Set up, control, and evaluate return on investment of social media and paid for ad campaigns.
  • Oversee Google AdWords and SEO.
  • As part of the Business Development & Marketing team provide in house graphic design for online and offline channels, ensuring all marketing materials that are produced are effective, engaging and in line with brand guidelines and with the vision and values of the Practice.
  • Deliver all work accurately, ensuring all press releases and materials are fully edited, proofed, and signed off by the relevant persons. Ensure consistency across all marketing activity and that the messaging and tone of voice is in-keeping with our guidelines.
  • Film and edit video content for use across digital channels.
  • Support with the creation of photography and podcasts for social channels and the website.
  • Develop, design, and create templates and content for email campaigns, ensuring best practice for all emails sent; and monitoring and analysing response rates.
  • Support the management of projects/campaigns and manage/lead on own projects/campaigns. Including involvement in key client reviews and key client questionnaires.
  • Plan, deliver and lead campaigns and projects; being the named point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and working with them on their requirements/brief and making recommendations. Deliver in a timely, planned, and relevant manner, ensuring good communication throughout. Monitor, evaluate and report on projects/campaigns.
  • Oversee, develop, and maintain media relations including identifying opportunities for raising brand awareness.
  • Assist with internal communications.
  • Assist with researching and producing award entries, tender and bid documentation and analysis following guidelines and managing timeframes.
  • Be involved and proactive in organising and participating in Practice activities as well as representing the client at external events.
Essential skills, experience, and attributes\xe2\x80\xa6
  • At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within a communications role which includes dealing with local, regional, national and trade press.
  • At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of producing web content and managing an organisation\xe2\x80\x99s social media presence.
  • Experience of graphic design, designing electronic and printed material.
  • A good communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to the audience i.e., knowing how to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • A flair for creative writing on a variety of topics with excellent content/copy writing skills.
  • Technically proficient with the ability to quickly understand new software or web-based services.
  • Experience of design software and of designing communications/marketing material (you will be asked to provide examples of documents or websites you have designed).
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
