Job Title: Internal Communications and Engagement Executive

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00)

Salary: \xc2\xa324 - \xc2\xa330k and up to 20% bonus with enhanced benefits package

Location: Flexible hybrid role, Blackpool based

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications and Engagement Executive to help build a \'one bank\' culture for all our people at Tandem and deliver the internal communications strategy.

This involves implementing a programme of communication and people engagement including regular Blog posts, a monthly people magazine, promoting internal events (both pre and post), and supporting focus groups, whilst evaluating and adapting approaches to continuously improve people engagement and communication.

Main Responsibilities

  • The role will positively impact employee engagement, whilst driving an understanding and connection to the Tandem mission so that our team is highly motivated and empowered to deliver against it.
  • Responsible for communications across all internal channels, taking ownership of Tandem Hub, providing effective and consistent messaging that makes the Hub the go-to destination for internal information.
  • Support the implementation of the overall internal communications plan including building effective relationships with internal teams to help drive engagement.
  • Actively seek news content from across the bank to ensure a regular flow of content to feed into our internal comms channels.
  • Work alongside the central marketing team to deliver engaging social campaigns, with a focus on promoting key messages and activities supporting our people engagement online and future recruitment.
  • Be a brand ambassador to promote positive employee engagement via internal events and activities, communications and an internal voice.
  • Report on engagement and communications.
  • Liaise and support other teams such as Marketing, HR, L&D, Facilities and ESG across Tandem to support their communications requirements.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about engagement and will have 2-5 years\' experience in a similar role. You will bring an abundance of feasible ideas that you will help create and deliver exciting and engaging content for our people to engage with.

Our Team

Led by our Head of Communications, internal communications is at the core of our bank sitting within the wider People Team. The comms team is responsible for everything internal facing for Tandem, ensuring the brand and what it stands for, including our products and services, are all positioned in the right way to drive curiosity, excitement, engagement, and adoption. Our aim is to engage, inform, educate and share knowledge with our people and, ultimately, drive high levels of engagement for our people.

Candidate Requirements
  • Between 2-5 years\' experience within an internal/external communications or engagement role
  • Experience of working with a variety of internal audiences and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of communications and/or engagement best practices
  • Ability to manage and implement a communication plan
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience of working in a creative and content creation role
  • Excellent design skills. Used to working with design tools like Canva
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working knowledge of content management systems or intranet systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Creative Thinking
  • Team Player with a can-do, supportive and positive attitude
  • Ability to managed multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Experience of change management and transformation, including culture change is desirable
