L&G's Corporate Affairs team is central to how we communicate our purpose, values and impact. As a Communications Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting our group-level media relations and external communications. What you'll be doing:

Supporting with delivering media relations at group level - including drafting briefings, Q&A, press comments, conducting media research, dealing with press enquiries Working with the Group media relations team to identify creative content ideas, including story angles and media opportunities Working with the Senior communications manager to ensure effective day to day management of the PR agency, including taking part in PR calls and supporting with delivery of actions Leading on monitoring, summarising and sharing media coverage with relevant internal stakeholders. This includes upkeep of monitoring logs and evaluation Supporting with cross corporate affairs projects and delivery such as planning and campaign delivery Managing media budget tracking and PR document organisation. Strengthening external communications processes. Upholding governance, compliance, and ethical standards Ensuring communications are reviewed and approved by individuals who have the appropriate knowledge, skills, and expertise, and that such approval is recorded


Qualifications



Who we're looking for:

Limited knowledge of external and employee communication, campaigns, PR approaches, and media relations practices and tactics Understanding of UK asset management, finance or investment industry Knowledge of business and finance media landscape 2+ years of experience financial services or corporate PR Experience in media management - e.g. drafting press releases and comments, media monitoring, dealing with written media enquiries, drafting Q&A, media research Team player, with a strong work ethic, who takes a collaborative and joined-up approach to tasks Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise effectively, multi-task quickly and efficiently, adapt to new situations in a fast-paced environment
