Communications Executive

to join our in-house team at

Jersey Electricity

, helping us connect with our community, our customers, and our people as we lead the island's transition to a sustainable, all-electric future.

You'll help us develop inspiring communications across multiple channels, from employee engagement to community campaigns, showing how Jersey Electricity is powering change for a cleaner, smarter, and more connected island.

Key Responsibilities



Internal Communications

Lead initiatives to keep employees informed, inspired and connected to our purpose. Manage internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet and events. Support leadership communications and storytelling that celebrate our people and achievements. Build cross department relationships to help foster a positive culture. Create visual media content to promote internal activities.

External Communications

Support the delivery of integrated communications campaigns across media, digital and community channels. Work with our external creative partners and media contacts to promote key initiatives. Create compelling content, from press releases and social media posts to articles and presentations, that enhance our reputation and engage the community. Contribute to media relations, social media strategy and crisis communications as required.

Creative & Community Engagement

Help plan and deliver events, community engagement activities, and corporate initiatives. Develop visuals, presentations and multimedia content using tools such as Canva and PowerPoint. Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise





Three to five years' experience in a communications, marketing or public relations role. Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences. Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, a team player who can build strong relationships across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Canva; familiarity with digital and social media tools. Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail. Understanding of contemporary communications trends and best practices. Creative mindset with the confidence to contribute new ideas. Interest in sustainability, renewable energy and Jersey's transition to net zero. A CIPR, CIM or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
