Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and professional Communications Officer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing internal and external communications, enhancing our organisation's public image, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. Responsibilities



Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote organisational initiatives and achievements Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, organising press conferences, and liaising with journalists Draft, edit and distribute newsletters, quarterly e-zines, press releases and promotional literature and website content Schedule and coordinate committee meetings, agendas and papers and take minutes and manage administration as required. Support the production of the annual report and other essential corporate publications. Assist the CEO in drafting strategic documents including funding applications, policy proposals and stakeholder briefings. Oversee the organisation's social media channels, ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with organisational branding Coordinate internal communications to ensure staff are informed about organisational updates and policies Monitor media coverage and public perception of the organisation, providing regular reports to senior management Organise events, campaigns, and community outreach programmes to enhance public engagement Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, partners, and community groups

Skills



3-4 years experience in public relations or organisational communication roles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Third level qualification in marketing, communications or related field Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in social media management platforms and content creation tools Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse audiences Creative thinking with a strategic approach to communication challenges
