The borough of Rochdale is changing fast and we need an experienced communicator to join our communications service.


We need a great all-rounder who can help share our news, update our local population about our services and use their creativity to create great content.


You will be an important part of a creative team that delivers high-quality multi-channel campaigns to wide audiences, so you will need to be highly skilled and enthusiastic about quality communications.

About you

The right candidate must have a 'can do' attitude and also:

Excellent written skills Relevant qualifications and experience Experience of developing multi-channel campaigns Experience of working with the media and journalists Experience of working with agencies and external partners Account management skills Knowledge of local government Crisis communications skills

The job holder will need to be flexible as with most local government communications roles some work outside normal office hours may be required.
