We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current trends and customer preferences
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high quality standards
Assist in managing restaurant operations during busy periods, including serving customers when necessary
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities that motivate and inspire team members
Competence in food production techniques across various cuisines
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and management
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
